Utrecht
Programme 22 February 2026 – Neude Library
On 24 February, it will be exactly four years since the large-scale invasion of Ukraine began. Under the title Remember Together, we reflect on this profound event. We choose not passivity, but connection. In Utrecht, we bring together the Ukrainian community and Dutch society through film, art, and dialogue.
Program Highlights:
- Film Premiere: Onderdak (Shelter)
The first screening of the short fiction film by directors Maarten Sleegers and Anna Sherstiuk. An impressive portrait of a Ukrainian boy struggling with his new life in the Netherlands and secretly planning to cycle back home. - United Ukrainian Ballet
A powerful performance by displaced Ukrainian dancers and Dutch musicians. Their movements tell the story of displacement and the need to be heard. - National Dialogue: Stories of Resilience
Personal conversations that make the impact of war tangible. Featuring veteran Serhii Galgan, Dutch and Ukrainian directors Maarten Sleegers and Anna Sherstiuk, and student Illia Ivakin (from Mariupol). They share stories of solidarity and their path in Dutch society.
Remembering together, rebuilding together
In a time of ongoing conflict, active remembrance is an act of resistance against indifference. Solidarity with Ukraine is essential for the freedom and security of all of Europe. We invite you to take part in this day of reflection and connection.
"Ubi concordia, ibi victoria" – Where there is unity, there is victory.
