Utrecht Remembers and connects: Two-Day programme
February 20, 2026

Utrecht marks four years of war in Ukraine with a programme focused on human connection and dialogue.
Sunday, February 22: Dialogue at Bibliotheek Neude
The commemoration begins Sunday evening at the Neude Library. During this edition of Remember Together, we focus on personal stories. The evening features a powerful performance by the United Ukrainian Ballet, the short film ‘Shelter’, and a moderated dialogue. Here, Ukrainians and Dutch citizens engage in conversation about their shared experiences and today’s reality.
Tuesday, February 24: Commemoration at Vital’nya
On Tuesday, February 24, we gather at the Ukrainian House "Vital’nya". Following a collective moment of silence at 7:10 PM, a dialogue on ‘Strength in Vulnerability’ will take place with various speakers and policymakers. Creative workshops for children, such as making traditional Motanka dolls, will run in parallel, ensuring a space for support and reflection for all generations.
